Regulations

Access to the library is free and consultation of its contents is free, too.

Because the number of workstations is limited, it is only possible to use the space of the library to consult the library's material.

There is no library lending service except for partners of the Institute.

The use of the computer room is only available if it is not being used by the team of the Institute.

Personal computers may be used only if the connection to the electricity supply does not interfere with the passage of people or the activity of the library. The use of the electricity sockets may be limited in time by the library staff, to allow access by other users of the library.

After having finished using them, the user must leave books, documents or other materials on the desk in order that they may be replaced in their correct positions on the shelves by the library staff.

It is possible to make photocopies, where this is permitted by law, at a price of 0.05 euros per page.

It is forbidden to behave in an uncivilized manner, to damage in any way the property of the library, to mark or write, even in pencil on any document or book, to smoke, to consume food or drinks, to create a disturbance with portable telephones etc. whilst using the library.

Cataloguing system

The library has a computerized system of cataloguing which is usable only within the building of  the Institute. The system which functions by author and subject, has been recently upgraded with the passing from Access to Win CDS/ISIS.

A catalogue on line of the books is available here. It is updated from time to time and includes about a half of all the contents of the library.

The archive catalogue is avaiable on line and include binders of paper documents. Cilck here to see it.

You may perform your research by consulting the library catalogue and the archive catalogue using pdf instruments.
